Drawing my boy in Vector.

Albert is a Hairless Chinese Crested.  This illustration was made in Photoshop using the Pen tool and converting to shapes.  It was rendered from tracing a photograph I had taken of him years ago after I shaved him into a mohawk.

Interactive Experience Design website comps for final project

We had to choose a location (I chose the region I grew up in) and design 3 different comps to choose from for our final site which will be our final project.  There will be requirements for each page (of which there will be 5!), and the site will eventually be a fully-functioning interactive site in Flash.  Here are my comps:

Hey look...it's me...in Vector!

Well, of course, I couldn't resist dumping the Illustrator-crafted image into Photoshop for a spell while I highlighted, and burned away...and well of course...we know what this means...my Vector-masterpiece then turns to Raster...but hey...old habits die hard.  Though I'm beginning to LOVE Illustrator, I'm forever attached to Photoshop and I really think at this point Adobe should give this hard-working student a sponsorship (i.e.  FREE SOFTWARE) just for plugging their name a-gazillion times!  I wonder if they'd do so if I vowed to name my first-born "Adobe".  Don't laugh.  I've seriously considered it!

Anyhow, without further adieu...here is this week's project for Illustrator class:

We had to start with an image of a human.  This is me in my recovering-from-baldness days as my hair started to grow back:

Here is the assignment with requirements fulfilled (designed using tones and tints, each a separate shape in Illustrator):

And...ta DA!  The Stacey-souped 'er up in Photoshop version:

Perfect Pixel Design Studio...it's very near.

I am finally getting around to designing my company.  Of course, as with any web design firm...you must start with none other than a great WEBSITE to represent yourself.  I want it to be absolutely perfect, and let me tell you there is a lot of competition out there!  However, I'm finding that there is a plethora of inspiration as well!  So much, in fact, that I found myself a bit overwhelmed with ideas!  Anyhow...here is the sneak-peak mockup design of my new site...my new business...PERFECT PIXEL DESIGN STUDIO.  The interface designs are in...let the coding BEGIN!

The Logo:

Art Contest

Every quarter, my school charges $75 for the parking pass.  You can opt to pay $4 per day, which doesn't seem sane in comparison to the flat rate.  If you don't buy a pass, they boot your car and fine you $50 for that day.  ouch!  What I didn't know is that they are constantly looking for artwork entries which get featured on the parking pass itself, and those who's artwork gets selected to grace our rearview mirror passes, get a free parking pass for the quarter in which you're artwork is used!  YOWSERS!  Free parking!  Can't beat that!  So I decided to enter this:

I decided to make it spring/summer-eske...because the next two quarters will be Spring/Summer at school.  Also...I included the skyline of Atlanta.  (brownie points for those who reside/attend school in this wonderful city!)

Vibe cover project.

We have to construct a believable magazine cover for our group project in one of our Design Concepts classes.  Most of us chose to grace our magz with our own faces.  I chose to spice things up a bit with some rediculous article titles!

peace of mind.
