Just for fun.

My girl!  Ladies and Gentlemen, give it up for Miss Strawberry Shortcake!

More learning in Illustrator.

Man...I've GOT to get me this software!

What we did in class today.

Bears in Love.

Illustrator Final Project...so it begins...

We have 4 weeks to complete the assignment.  We had to choose replicating a game board or computer game interface...or...design a step-by-step instructional poster (which to me, seems elementary...so I chose the game board).  I could NOT wait to get started though I really dreaded the detail in the game board of Pictionary which I selected.  After a few hours spent in Illustrator; however, I realized that the drawing becomes quite addictive, and I really accomplished a lot in my first sitting.

Here is the original photo:

W.I.P. so far...(1st sitting in Illustrator):

Hey look...it's me...in Vector!

Well, of course, I couldn't resist dumping the Illustrator-crafted image into Photoshop for a spell while I highlighted, and burned away...and well of course...we know what this means...my Vector-masterpiece then turns to Raster...but hey...old habits die hard.  Though I'm beginning to LOVE Illustrator, I'm forever attached to Photoshop and I really think at this point Adobe should give this hard-working student a sponsorship (i.e.  FREE SOFTWARE) just for plugging their name a-gazillion times!  I wonder if they'd do so if I vowed to name my first-born "Adobe".  Don't laugh.  I've seriously considered it!

Anyhow, without further adieu...here is this week's project for Illustrator class:

We had to start with an image of a human.  This is me in my recovering-from-baldness days as my hair started to grow back:

Here is the assignment with requirements fulfilled (designed using tones and tints, each a separate shape in Illustrator):

And...ta DA!  The Stacey-souped 'er up in Photoshop version:

moo.

found the cartoon on the net...redesigned it myself in Illustrator.

More graphics from my adventures in learning Illustrator:

The clip was rather tedious, but overall I am happy with my gradients.

Illustrator - Project 1

Ms. Octopussy.

I know...amateur hour.  Let's just say Illustrator isn't as fun as Photoshop for me.
